Yewlands Has Got Talent 2013
Thank you to everyone that performed in, attended or helped with Yewlands Got Talent 2013 after school on May the 9th.

The show was sold out thanks to Mr Easdown and Keiran B who sold the tickets. The judges were were Mr Weston, Louis P, Sam R, Miss Kirby and Miss Burnside and they did a fantastic but very difficult job. Joseph H was absolutely brilliant as a presenter for the show.

Tich, who has supported Olly Murs on tour, was great and her performance was particularly enjoyed by the Year 6 students who came to the event.

After some difficult deliberations, Jake G was awarded first place, Amy R came second and Joseph H was in third place.

Thank you to everyone involved for a fantastic evening.

A. Armytage (Headteacher)

Yewlands aims to provide all young people with a ‘world class’ education, preparing them for life in a 21st century global world. Every student is important to us.

We are proud of our excellent, hard working staff and of the way in which our parents work in partnership with us to provide the very best support to ensure success. The school has moved from strength to strength and in March 2011, was deemed by Ofsted to be ‘Good with Outstanding Features’.

As a ‘School of the Future’, we are proud of our excellent 21st century facilities. We understand that in our global economy, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are important and have placed these subjects at the heart of our Academy. We place great importance on an ‘all round’ education, including developing skills needed for all young people in the 21st century global workforce.

Yewlands has a strong relationship with our ‘Family of Schools’ which has received national recognition for its collaborative work in support of all young people and their families across the North East of Sheffield.

Innovation is at the heart of our school and we work with our students and staff to make learning relevant, exciting and motivating.

Please visit us if you would like to find out more. We look forward to sharing our success with you and to welcoming you to the school.
