Talbot Specialist School is a coeducational, day community secondary special school School providing education for young people aged 11 – 19 years of age, with a range of Cognition and Learning Difficulties. Our young people present with a range of complex learning difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Disorders, profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Complex Learning Difficulties. Some young people also have complex health needs. The school moved to its current purpose built, state-of-the-art building in January 2009, where it co-located with Newfield, a mainstream Secondary School.
Our school community is diverse and our staff team is committed to working collaboratively to ensure the highest standards of care and education are in place for each individual. Our staff are highly skilled and experienced in meeting the complex needs of all our young people.
Working in partnership with other professionals we are able to address a wide range of physical, medical and emotionally complex needs.
Relationships are at the heart of our school community and by adopting flexible and creative partnership we strive to meet the needs of each individual.
